With the great success of the first running last year, with well over 300 entrants, the South Cave Scouts group, in conjunction with the East Yorkshire Long Distance Walking Association, will be holding its second Golden Fleece challenge walking on the 2nd March 2013 with all proceeds going to the Scout Group.
The event offers a 27.5 and a 15 mile circular walk across the stunning Yorkshire Wolds starting at South Cave Family Centre taking in the beautiful Wolds villages of Hotham, North Newbald, Walkington and Brantingham.
The Golden Fleece follows the area’s well established walking routes i.e. the Rudolf Romp, High Hunsley Circuit, the Beverley Twenty and The Yorkshire Wolds Way, therefore much of the route will be very familiar to those who have walked the area before, although the route is easy enough to follow for first time walkers.
